This Access to Higher Education course in Health Care gives you the academic qualifications to University and opportunities for careers in nursing, midwifery and occupational therapy. It can also be used to gain entry into other applied social science degrees.
LEVEL 3 APPLIED GENERAL CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
The Level 3 Applied General Certificate in Health & Social Care aims to focus on the applied study of health and social care. It offers breadth and depth of study, incorporating a significant core of knowledge and theoretical content with broad-ranging applicability. Learners are provided opportunities to acquire a number of practical skills.

PRE-ACCESS HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS
The Pre-access qualification is designed to support learners to return to study and to help them develop skills needed for progression to Level 3 courses related to the vocational area of health. The qualification focuses on study skills, literacy and numeracy and personal development and includes optional units that offer learners a taste of subject areas in health that they may go on to study. Achievement of the Skills for Further Study in Health qualification will demonstrate that learners are able to study for a sustained period at an appropriate level.
