For almost 40 years in the UK,  Black History Month is celebrated for the whole month of October. Generations of people of African and Caribbean heritage have made remarkable contributions to the UK and make up a diverse and rich culture that is celebrated across the country.

Black History Month has expanded and now includes people of Asian heritage, and how their contribution has shaped Britain.

Our fantastic all inclusive party nights are amazing value for money and include everything you need for a great Christmas party night including exclusive venue hire and a delicious three course meal.

This Traineeship is aimed at you if are interested In a career in Media and Digital. The programme is

fully-funded and is designed to give you practical and theoretical experience that will enable you to take the next step, into employment or an apprenticeship. This course is FREE and we could offer bursary and other support to enable you to get into work.

 

Open to 16-24-year-olds (or 25 with an EHCP)

 

Functional skills - Tuesday 9.30am - 3.30pm

If you need Maths and English, we offer an additional portion of the Traineeship, Functional Skills to make sure you are highly employable!

The Bistro at Blackburne House is nestled amidst some of Liverpool’s finest restaurants and bars on the corner of Hope Street and Falkner Street. You’ll find us in the basement of our beautiful Grade II listed building.

A relaxing haven of health and wellbeing solely for women, The Health Place offers a wide range of treatments and services, as well as holistic classes and self-development courses. From Baby Yoga to bespoke pamper days, it's the perfect place to indulge and grow.

We love coming to work in our Grade II listed building - why not enjoy it too? We offer long-term office tenancies to people and businesses, so feel free to get in touch. We like to work with companies and social enterprises especially so we ensure that everyone working in the Blackburne House building shares our values and ethos.

A culturally diverse, stimulating and enriching environment, our on-site public nursery cares for babies and young children. Subsidised childcare is available for Blackburne House students, empowering mums to return to education and free places are offered to the most disadvantaged families.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) North West, part of the Blackburne House Group, exists to provide training and opportunities to enable people to use their creative and entrepreneurial abilities more fully for social benefit. SSE supports individuals to set up new charities, social enterprises and social businesses across the UK.

Blackburne House Group has launched an ambitious BEE YOU Project that aims to educate and up-skill young people in entrepreneurial activities and the ancient art of Beekeeping. We want to engage with young people ages between 17-24 over the course of five years to have an impact on the green economy; whilst they positively influencing the decline of the local Honey bee population.
