
Teacher Training – Level 4 Certificate in Education
This Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CTLLS) aims to develop practical teaching skills and prepares teachers to work in a range of contexts. This qualification will give you the necessary understanding of roles and responsibilities of a teacher in relation to aspects such as legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners.
You will study a range of units covering aspects of Teaching including:

Delivering education and training.

Using resources for education and training.

Assessing learners in education and training.

Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You will need to be 19+, have Level 3 Award in Education (or PTLLS) and have Level 2 Math’s & English qualification.

There is a requirement for a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice for this qualification.

Acceptance onto this course is subject to successful guidance interview & assessment

For each unit you will be required to provide written evidence to satisfy the learning outcomes. This will consist of a range of formal written academic assignments, documentary evidence such as schemes of work and lesson plans, and in class presentations. You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence. In addition, you will be observed during the course - by the course tutor.

Once you have completed this course, you can progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or go straight into employment
