LEVEL 1 AWARD IN STRESS AWARENESS

This qualification aims to improve learners' understanding of stress. They will look at the causes of stress and the effects stress can have on health. They will also learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of stress and look at ways of preventing or reducing stress.

You will study this unit as part of the course:

LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN AWARENESS IN MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS 

The qualification is designed for anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill-health. This qualification aims to raise awareness of mental health and a range of mental health problems

PRE- ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION

HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS

This programme is the stepping stone onto the Access to HE Health and Care professions course.  You will study for a Pre-Access Certificate as well as working towards Maths, English and IT at level 2 if you don’t already have these.  The Pre-Access certificate will develop your academic skills through units such as critical thinking, essay writing and plagiarism.  You will also build on your knowledge of healthcare by studying units in psychology and sociology in relation to health, health promotion, diet and nutrition, eating disorders and life sciences.  

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need to be aged 16+

  • Have at least Level 1 in Maths and English

  • Acceptance onto this course is subject to successful guidance interview & assessment test 

COURSE DURATION

  • One Year

ASSESSMENT 

  • There will be a mix of continuous assessment methods including essays and case studies.

WHERE COULD THIS COURSE TAKE YOU?

This course will lead to the Access to HE Diploma in Health and Care Professions 

LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN SKILLS FOR HEALTH & CARE PROFESSIONS

This qualification will provide you with an in-depth understanding across all areas of the health and care sector. The units will support you to develop a strong foundation that will enable progression to higher level learning and/or employment.
