At Blackburne House, we feel that just one day is not enough to celebrate women's day so we are celebrating the whole month of March! Join us at one of or many events throughout the month.
As part of the Women's Month celebrations we are showing many female focused films throughout the month.
Tickets are free, but you can donate any amount you wish - and by doing this, you are directly helping educate women at Blackburne House. We are a charity whose primary aim is to educate and train women (some disadvantaged) to change their lives.

We Want Women are honoured to curate a performing arts showcase in collaboration with Blackburne House for International Women's Day 2020 and present women from several genres of the performing arts; music, acting, comedy, poetry and dance!
Come and celebrate with us, all proceeds will go into supporting women in the performing arts in Liverpool and the growth of the community of women's voices.

As part of Blackburne Houses International Women's Day Celebrations, we present Ngunan Adamu (BBC Merseyside) in conversation with Claire Dove CBE DL. Join us on the 11th March 2020, Ngunan Adamu (BBC Merseyside) will be sitting down with Claire Dove to talk about her extraordinary journey from the first Women's Technology Scheme in Liverpool to CEO of Blackburne House.
Claire has been a key player in the social enterprise movement since the early 1980s and has led the Blackburne House Group since its inception, using her entrepreneurial skills to help the organisation grow into an award-winning and extremely successful social business.
Ngunan Adamu is the Producer/Presenter for BBC Radio Merseyside's Upfront a show about Merseyside's black community, each Sunday evening.
All proceedings goes to Blackburne House. We are a charity whose primary aim is to educate and train women (some disadvantaged) to change their lives

Enjoy the rich history of Liverpool & learn about the amazing women that have walked on our street. This two-hour walk covers the Georgian Quarter and looks at buildings and plaques referencing many women who were either born in Liverpool or made a great impact here. From campaigners and founders to leading lights in their fields, women such as Josphine Butler, Margaret Simey, Kitty Wilkinson and many more are celebrated."
Walk lead by Harriet Gilmour is a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide who lives in the city centre and loves discovering and sharing history with others.
Please dress for any weather and wear appropriate footwear!
