Level 2 Certificate – Business, Administration & Law

The Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Further Study in Business, Administration and Law is designed to support students to return to study and help them develop skills needed for progression to Level 3 courses related to the vocational areas of Business, Administration and Law.

You will study a range of units on this course including: 

  • Introduction to Business Administration

  • Data Protection and Confidentiality in a Working Environment

  • Communicate in a Business Environment

  • Introduction to the Law in the United Kingdom

  • Consumer Law 

  • Understanding Disability, Society and the Law

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need to be 16+ and, while you do not need to have any previous experience, all students must be able to read and write at Level 1. All students should commit to being in college for the duration of the course and be able to complete directed tasks both in college and at home.

  • In order to help you develop there is also the opportunity to enhance your Maths and English qualifications. For further study some courses will require Maths and English at either Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE.

  • Acceptance onto this course is subject to successful guidance interview.

ASSESSMENT 

  • Assessment for this course will be through participation, completion of workbooks, practical activities and observations. Work should be completed according to the deadlines given by your tutor. 

  • All units must be completed in order to gain your qualification.

WHERE COULD THIS COURSE TAKE YOU?

  • Students who achieve the Open College Network West Midlands Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Further Study in Business, Administration and Law will be able to progress to level 3 courses, for example: Access to Higher Education Diplomas in Business, Administration or Law.
