Corporate Service Team
Debbie Watson is an experienced administrator who has worked for Blackburne House for 5 years. Debbie is responsible for 24+ Loan applications, NUS cards, the Learner Support Fund and updating the MIS system . She can also be found working on our busy reception area giving out advice and guidance for all of our courses.
Tina Correia has worked for Blackburne House for 8 years, she previously worked for Waterloo College an outreach centre for Southport College. Tina is responsible for the examination process from registration, to claiming certificates and updating the MIS system. Tina also helps out on reception and gives out advice and guidance about courses.
Margaret Roberts came to Blackburne House many years ago as a student, then 8 years ago became a member of the Corporate Service Team. Margaret is responsible for arranging childcare for students that attend our year long courses and also inputs data onto our MIS system. Margaret works on reception giving out advice and guidance over the phone and over the counter.
Lorraine Shannon has worked for Blackburne House for over 10 years. Lorraine is an experienced receptionist & switchboard operator and is first point of contact for all of our students, conference delegates and any visitors to Blackburne House. Lorraine currently works part time.
Jasmine Joel is the newest and youngest member of the Corporate Services Team. Jasmine is a part time receptionist/administrator. She is responsible for the closing down of the reception in the evening and updating the information screen. She also gives advice and guidance to student and inputs data onto the MIS system.

Elke joined Blackburne House Education as a sessional German language tutor in 1990. Since 1995 she has delivered the ESOL programme, first as a sessional tutor and for the last 14 years as a full-time member of staff.
Elke feels passionate about bringing the world together in her classroom; originally from a different country herself, she has a unique insight into the challenges a fresh start in a new culture can bring.
Elke lives in Southport with her husband and enjoys meeting up with her two daughters and their partners for long country walks and a spot of geocaching.

Clare joined Blackburne House Education in January 2008. She has been working in education for over 17 years. Previously, she worked in an FE College where she held a number of posts including Quality & Curriculum Development Manager for Creative Industries Department, programme Team Leader; a lecturer in Graphic Design & Art & Design and also as a freelance Designer. Her early career was spent as a Graphic Designer in Manchester. Clare lives in Liverpool with her Husband and two children.
ICT Tutor & IV
Judy has worked in Blackburne House Education for 14 years starting as a sessional tutor and eventually working full time. She is responsible for all the education programmes within ICT curriculum area, she also teaches IT at all levels. Judy started at Blackburne House as a student where she studied Telematics and Telecommunication. Judy lives in Liverpool and enjoys socialising with her family and friends and listening to good music.
Tutor & IV
June has worked in Blackburne House Education for 14 years starting as a sessional tutor and eventually working full time. She is responsible for all the education programmes within Teacher Education curriculum area, she also teaches personal and professional development. June previously worked at Liverpool Community College in a variety of positions, teaching various subjects including: Women’s Studies and Business Administration. June originates from London and now lives in Liverpool with her family and enjoys spending caravanning weekends away.
