Blackburne House Nursery are delighted to announce that we will shortly have the opportunity to welcome some new faces to our nursery family.  As we are approaching September and will have to say goodbye to a lot of our older children as they leave to start school, we have a few spaces available in our Grasshopper, Bumblebee and Butterfly rooms, for children aged between 0 and 5.

Blackburne House Nursery was opened in 1994 and is registered to care for up to 30 children between the ages of 0 and five years. The nursery is a place which encourages personal growth; a place for making friends and somewhere in which we acknowledge and enjoy cultural diversity.

Special care is taken to ensure that each child is looked after in a safe, educational environment, free from racism, sexism and violence. We actively challenge gender, race, class stereotyping and discrimination against children and adults with disabilities.

The nursery operates an open door policy, which means parents/carers are welcome in the nursery at any time. We also respect parents/carers as the first educators of their children and actively encourage their involvement in the daily life of the nursery.

The nursery provides freshly prepared food each day and aims to promote healthy eating and discourage foods/drinks that may damage teeth.
