Every year on the 8th March, the world celebrates International Women’s Day
IWD provides a common day for globally recognising and applauding women’s achievements as well as for observing and highlighting gender inequalities and issues. Not just on IWD, but all year round, Blackburne House is proud to work tirelessly to support gender equality through a multitude of initiatives, causes, actions and values.
Join Blackburne House this year as we celebrate the achievements of our students and the inspirational women who have shaped our values and our city.
We’ll be throwing open our doors from 1pm to 3pm to welcome all to come and find out more about the work we do, meet the women whose lives have been transformed by education and support and discover how we could help you to make a brighter future for yourself and your family.
Our award winning social enterprise Cafe Bar is open all day with great food & drinks.
On the Day we’re also celebrating the official launch of our newest Social Enterprise, BH Maintenance . The construction & maintenance company run by women, for women which is taking Liverpool by storm and aiming to transform the industry and its gender stereotypes.
