 A Prize of £250 will be awarded on the day to a female social entrepreneur who is doing business in a fair and ethical way.

Please submit your examples of ethical finance, employment, procurement, marketing, or products and services,  in no more than 500 words by 15.11.13 to: paulagamester@blackburnehouse.co.uk.

Caroline created and developed a local base community enterprise offering information, advice, support and advocacy within Wigan and Leigh. My Life offers an asset based community development model, inspiring communities to give, gain and grow.

  •  Luciana Berger: Labour & Co-operative MP

 Luciana Berger is a British Labour Co-operative politician who has been Member of P for Liverpool Wavertree since 2010. Luciana was appointed Shadow Minister for Public Health on 8th October 2013.

  •  Rebecca Slater: BBC The Apprentice 2013 –  Sales Executive turned entrepreneur

 Rebecca Slater, who is from Standish near Wigan, launched a jewellery business after being ‘fired’ from the BBC show. Rebecca will talk about her experiences on The Apprentice and her new ethical venture All Mein.
