September 2012 will see the launch of a brand new course from Blackburne House. The Hope Street based college and social enterprise are adding another string to their bow by offering an Introductory Broadcasting course for local women. The course will be a precursor to a new Women’s Radio project operating out of Blackburne House which hopes to provide education and opportunities for women as well as aiming to run a successful radio programme.

The Introduction to Radio course is a 5 week evening class starting September 2012 and is taught in association with the National Broadcasting School. Providing an introduction to the key skills needed to produce and present radio programmes – including studio operation, digital recording and editing, presenting, writing for radio and broadcasting.

Those interested in the evening course or Blackburne House’s new broadcasting project can go along on Monday 10th September to Blackburne House between 11am and 3pm to an Open Day where tutors and staff will be available to answer and questions.
